Correspondence, notes, poems, photos, pamphlets and other papers of the Rev. Charles E. Craven, including family letters and memoirs; material about his father, the Rev. Elijah R. Craven; papers relating to the Princeton University Class of 1881 of which Charles Craven was class historian; a booklet describing the school run by Rev. Craven in Mattituck; and reports and bulletins from other churches where Rev. Craven was pastor, including South Church in Montclair, New Jersey. Also poems written for family members on their birthdays; a manuscript story "Tom in the Woods," written by Charles Craven at about age 8; family photos, and pictures taken for History of Mattituck; miscellaneous clippings and ephemera; and several Kate Greenaway Almanacks, 1880s and 1890s.
